    The second prize in the international Violin Competition “Rudolfo Lipizer” in Gorizia, 1999, and the winner of the special prize for the best interpretation of J.S.Bach Solo Sonatas and Partitas.

    The second prize in the international Violin Competition “Dr.Luis Sigal” In Vine del Mar (Chile), 2000,and the winner of the special “audience choice” prize.

           Rodion Zamuruev was born in 1969. He graduated from Moscow State Conservatoire named after P.I.Tchaikovsky in 1993 (the class of professor Irina Bochkova).

           R.Zamuruev has been actively appearing with concerts since the age of seven. He performs solo programs, plays together with various ensembles. He has given concert performances in the most prestigious halls of Moscow, St.Petersburg, other cities of Russia, as well as in Spain, Belgium, Germany, Italy, France, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Albania, Yugoslavia, and a number of other countries.

    In 1994 Rodion Zamuruev entered Prof. Irina Bochkova’s class at Moscow Conservatoire as a post-graduate student. He began his teaching career in 1994 as Prof. I. Bochkova’s assistant at Moscow Conservatoire and as a teacher at the Central specialized musical school This school is attached to Moscow Conservatoire and famous all over the world for brilliant graduates such as Leonid Kogan, Igor Oistrakh, Victor Tretiakov, Vladimir Spivakov, Grigorii Zhislin, and Irina  Bochkova.

    In 1996 Zamuruev completed his post-graduates studies and received an official  certificate which  enables him to teach as a professor  in higher educational musical institutions.  He then continued teaching at Moscow Conservatoire and the Central Musical School. Under R. Zamuruev’s guidance several students became laureates of international competitions.

     Rodion Zamuruev’s vast concert repertoire includes works of composers of various epochs and trends. However, the violinist prefers music of the XX-th century. He performed at the  International Festival of Chamber Music in Tirana (Albania), the”World Music Days” International Festival in Luxembourg, the International Festival at the “Expo-2000” exhibition in Hannover, the International “LogoMusica” Festival in Porto (Portugal), and in recent years has been a regular participant of annual International Festivals of contemporary music “Moscow Autumn” and “Panorama of Russia”.

     Rodion Zamuruev gives master classes from 2000 in France, Luxembourg, Belgium, Portugal, Greece, Turkey, Russia, Ukraine. He is a permanent invited teacher at Paris National Conservatoire (classes of prof. Boris Garlitsky and Igor Voloshin).

     He has recorded several CDs at the “Sterling Classics” (USA) and Marco Polo/Naxos.

     He performs with the State Symphony Orchestra of Russia, the Nijni Novgorod Philarmonic, Ryazan Symphony Orchestra, Saratov Symphony Orchestra, Samara Symphony Orchestra, the “Young Russia” orchestra, Petrozavodsk Orchestra of Radio & TV, Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra, Moldavia Symphonic Orchestra, Vino del Mare municipal orchestra, Leipzig chamber philharmonic orchestra, etc.

     Music critics permanently note Rodion Zamuruev’s unforgettable, highly individual performing style, broad scope of his interpretations and faultless technical command.

     In 2002 Rodion Zamuruev created “Mobilis” ensemble. The ensemble plays on tour, scores a great success and has cordial welcome in Russia and abroad, records CDs. Musical compositions of different styles starting from Bach and Vivaldi to Pyart and Gubaidulina are in the repertoire of the ensemble.
